COVID-19 Update: Message from RVU President Clinton E. Adams

Clinton E. Adams, DO, FACHE, President and CEO

Dear RVU Community,

At Rocky Vista University, the safety and wellbeing of our students, faculty and staff are our top priority. Following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other authorities, RVU has implemented several measures to address the growing concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

As of Monday, March 16, RVU has transitioned to a remote learning plan to deliver courses to all of our students. In keeping with RVU’s Mission and Core Values, we will strive to assist students from all three of our programs in the successful completion of their curriculum. We are cognizant of the hands-on learning environment for our students and faculty, and will maintain active communication in regards to laboratory sessions and other events.

RVU has enacted a temporary telecommuting guideline for all employees, which has been recommended by the CDC as an effective infection controls strategy for the coronavirus. All RVU-sponsored international travel continues to be banned, and all RVU-sponsored domestic travel will be considered on a case-by-case basis if the trip does not entail a close gathering of multiple people.

The RVU COVID-19 Response Team will provide updates on a regular basis and continue to assess the measures implemented to-date. RVU has also launched a dedicated COVID-19 website that will be routinely updated: http://www.rvu.edu/covid-19-updates/. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to regularly visit the website for updates from the our COVID-19 Response Team, as well as check our social media channels for additional updates.
