Students Raise Funds at Charity Gala

Every year, the Charity Gala gives students a reprieve from the rigors of all that comes with being a student in the COM, MSBS, and PA programs. Students arrived at the Nautilus Ballroom of the Downtown Aquarium – Denver dressed up in their best suits and elegant dresses for a night of fun and entertainment. Throughout the night, they enjoyed delicious food and drinks, dancing, and access to the aquarium exhibits – including the mermaid exhibit!

“Being in the aquarium was awesome,” said Austen Andersen, OMS II. “We loved seeing the mermaids and the RVU Charity Gala signs in the tanks with the fish!”

The event not only provided an evening of entertainment during which to make new memories with peers, but also raised funds for Camp Wapiyapi. In total, close to $5,000 were donated to the camp, which provides an unforgettable experience for children facing pediatric cancer and their siblings at no cost to their families. The proceeds from the Charity Gala will fund supplies and support Camp Wapiyapi’s many programs.
